During the 1930’s, this recipe was a staple at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. A riff on the Manhattan cocktail, it calls for the addition of absinthe and two different kinds of bitters for a herbaceous and bitter punch.
Ingredients:
2 oz. Rye whiskey
1 oz. Vya Sweet Vermouth
3 dashes Absinthe
1 dash The Bitter Truth Aromatic Bitters
1 dash The Bitter Truth Orange Bitters
Preparation:
Stir with ice. Strain into a rocks glass. Serve.
