Cocktails & Apéritifs, Spring, Summer, Vya Extra Dry, Winter

The Brooklyn is regarded as one of the most popular variations on The Manhattan.  It first appeared in Jack’s Manual in 1908. The recipe calls for the addition of Maraschino Liquor and switches out sweet vermouth for dry. The herbaceousness of Vya Extra Dry balances out the sweet flavors of Maraschino Liquor to create a smooth and cohesive cocktail. This cocktail has grown in popularity since the resurgence of cocktail culture in 2000.

2 oz. Straight rye whiskey
0.75 oz. Vya Extra Dry Vermouth
2-3 dashes Maraschino Liqueur
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
