Cocktails & Apéritifs, Fall, Summer, Vya Extra Dry, Vya Sweet, Winter

We think one of the best parts of any meal is the aperitif that comes before it. If you haven’t been stoking your tastebuds before dinner with some herbaceously awesome beverage (like Vya Vermouths), there’s no time like the present. Derived from the Latin root “aperire,” which means “to open,” an aperitif does just that. It opens the palate and stimulates the appetite so every morsel of the meal you’re about to eat becomes even more delectable. How? Aside from lending themselves to a flavorful pre-meal drink, the herbs in an aperitif are functional – they signal the stomach to get those digestive juices flowing – because it’s time to eat!

Working an aperitif into your pre-dinner routine is as easy as opening a bottle (or two) of Vya Vermouth and pouring over ice. This recipe is one of our favorites, featuring the perfect combo of Vya Sweet and Vya Extra Dry Vermouths.

Sip it, enjoy it, then pass the potatoes, please.
