A New Winemaker
The success of Essensia Orange Muscat and Elysium Black Muscat prompted the expansion of winemaking operations at Quady Winery – and the need for a new winemaker. Michael Blaylock joined the Quady team in 1984 and spent three decades making award-winning sweet wines before retiring in 2017. Darin Peterson now resides as Head Winemaker, with Crystal Weaver-Kiessling joining Quady as Winemaker in 2022.
