A Deviation from Traditional Winemaking

Andrew Quady’s taste for trailblazing is apparent in all of his wines, and Deviation is no exception. Appropriately named, this sweet wine is a deviation from traditional dessert wine formulations. Perhaps influenced by his work with vermouth in the late 90s, Andrew Quady and head winemaker Mike Blaylock decided to infuse Orange Muscat with Rose Geranium and Damiana; infusing wine with botanicals is common practice for aromatized wines such as vermouth, but this is generally not the case with dessert wines. The Rose Geranium leaves gathered from the Quady garden impart an herbal quality and a most unusual finish in a sweet wine.
